Image and music depart from the same energy: rhythm, repetition, tempo and friction. Not as a subject, but as a way of thinking.

For generations, artists have used music to move beyond fixed forms and develop new visual languages. That connection is still present today. Many musicians also work visually, driven by the same urge to create.

Around music, a distinct visual culture has emerged. Concert posters, zines, prints and album covers are as defining as the sound itself.

Image and music are not separate worlds, but parallel practices that continuously shape one another.

[GRID] operates at that intersection.

As a gallery and publisher, [GRID] initiates, produces and presents exhibitions and editions by artists and musicians working between these disciplines. [GRID] makes visible what often remains underexposed: the visual practice of musicians and the influence of music on contemporary art.

ART IS MUSIC. MUSIC IS ART.
